Manually Upload Video from Hudl Sideline

These steps are for man­u­al­ly pulling video from Hudl Sideline. Only use them when Hudl Support has instruct­ed you to do so.

  1. Plug the record­ing iPad into your com­put­er. The charg­ing cord or adapters will help you connect.

  2. Open iTunes on your com­put­er. If you don’t have it installed, click here to download.

  3. Click the iPad icon. 

    Don’t see the iPad icon? Check your iPad’s screen to allow the com­put­er to connect.

  4. Click File Sharing

  5. Select Hudl Sideline under Apps. 

  6. Under Hudl Sideline Documents, click SidelineGames.

  7. Click Save to…

  8. Create a new fold­er on your desk­top, then save the files to that folder.

  9. There will be a progress bar at the top of iTunes. After it has fin­ished copy­ing, dou­ble-check the fold­er with the files. Make sure all files are in the fold­er. Once all files are locat­ed in the fold­er, unplug your iPad.

  10. Uninstall the Hudl Sideline app, then rein­stall it.

  11. Plug your iPad back into your com­put­er, then open iTunes.

  12. Select the iPad icon. 

  13. Click File Sharing. 

  14. Select Hudl Sideline under Apps. 

  15. Next to the SidelineGames fold­er, check to make sure it says zero KB in size. If it doesn’t, unplug your iPad, then unin­stall and rein­stall the app again.

  16. Drag and drop the fold­er you cre­at­ed on your desk­top into the Hudl Sideline Documents sec­tion in iTunes.

  17. After all files are copied back to the app, you can unplug the iPad, open Hudl Sideline and begin upload­ing (begin at Step 7).
