Using NDI with Production Truck

NDI is an integration we have within Production Truck that allows you to wirelessly; use camera/audio source inputs, output a program feed, and output/input overlays.

Note: In all of these instances, the devices must be on the same network. Deep NDI integration is only available on the Mac version of Production Truck. To see bringing in NDI sources via Windows, please click here.

Using NDI on Mac Production Truck

Bringing Custom Overlays into Production Truck

  1. it is possible to use custom overlays from third-party software and bring them into Production Truck. The other software will need to be capable of outputting the overlays via NDI.

  2. Output the overlays on Computer A via NDI.

  3. Within Production Truck on Computer B, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Overlay Input, select the name of Computer A. Overlays from Computer A should now be visible.

  4. If you are not seeing your NDI device, please ensure Search for NDI Devices is enabled and your computer has the latest version of NDI downloaded.

Toggle the overlays from Computer A within Production Truck by selecting the Overlay and Clear options within Production Truck.

There is not a preview feed of the overlay.

Production Truck operations on Computer B are now available allowing streaming from there!

  1. Production Truck's overlays can be output so they are displayed on another computer's software allowing control of the overlays within Production Truck.

  2. Within Production Truck on Computer A, navigate to Preferences>Audio/Video. Under Overlay Output, select NDI Output.

  3. Within the software on Computer B is an option to input the overlays being sent from Production Truck. Any Overlay on the program feed within Production Truck will be output.
