We built a tool that allows basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, soccer and lacrosse teams to seamlessly copy their video and stats from Krossover to Hudl with the click of a button. Just log in to your Hudl account and click Import from Krossover in the top right. We’ll copy video and stats from your three most recent seasons.
If you're a football team, you can copy your video by downloading it from Krossover and uploading it to Hudl. Stats won’t be included, but you can add them again using our breakdown columns—or have Hudl Assist do it for you.
All other sports won’t be able to copy stats from Krossover, but we can help get your video on Hudl. Just contact our support team to get started.
Your reels won’t come over to Hudl when you move your stats and videos, so you have two options. Either download the reels to your computer or recreate them in Hudl. If you want to recreate them, you can make them as a playlist or a highlight, depending on the purpose they serve your team. Playlists are a compilation of teaching moments to review with your team internally. Highlights are clips of your team’s best moments that you’re sharing publicly.
Highlights also won’t come over in the migration process, so be sure to download any you need to keep. Order the highlight to create a reel of it in your library, then download the reel to your computer. Or recreate your highlights on Hudl using clips and tags.
Send an announcement email to your athletes explaining the switch to Hudl. Not sure what to write? Check out the email template below to make sure you’re hitting on all the right points.
Now that your account is set up, it’s time to dive into all the new tools at your fingertips. Follow these steps to get ramped up:
1. Invite your coaching staff and athletes to the team
None of your team members have been invited yet —we’ve left that up to you. See how to add coaches and athletes.
2. Clean up duplicate athletes
If you’ve migrated video and stats and later notice athletes listed more than once, don’t remove them (it will affect their stats). Instead contact our support team and we’ll take care of the rest.
3. Learn to manage your library
Ours works a little differently than Krossover’s, so get to know your way around.
