Who: Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association

The Story: The oldest high school basketball association in the nation (founded in 1947), the OHSBCA has more than 4,000 members. Its stated goal is to “help maintain the highest possible standards in interscholastic basketball and the basketball coaching profession,” and it does this by recognizing, understanding and working to fix coaches’ problems, and creating strong relationships between its members.

The OHSBCA also offers honors for players and teams both on the court and in the classroom, while promoting coaches who hit the century marks (100, 200 etc.) in career victories.

The tremendous basketball athletes and coaches in the state of Ohio deserve recognition of the outstanding achievements they have accomplished through the game of basketball. – Pat Carroll, OHSBCA staff member
