National Football Academies

Instructed football players, mainly quarterbacks, on how to improve in many aspects of the game.

Who: National Football Academies

The Story: Founded in 1988, the National Football Academies offer instructional camps at seven different positions, most notably quarterback. The academies not only work to improve athletes’ technique and ability, but also focus on life skills and the mental side of the game.

Founder Darin Slack also posts videos and podcasts on his site to help quarterbacks perfect their craft and mentally prepare to become better players. The best of the best are invited to compete at an invitation-only skills competition in July.

“We are committed to coaching football and building men through a passionate leadership message that separates us from all the others. Through creating a context of self-discovery, self-correction, and self-awareness we see athletes lives changed in ways they never thought possible in an accelerated learning environment.” – NFA spokesperson
