Who: Cam Newton, NFL MVP and quarterback for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers

The Story: Newton may be the reigning MVP and the top player in the NFL, but it’s not his athletic abilities that he’s most proud of.

Through the Cam Newton Foundation, Newton works to enhance the lives of youth by addressing their educational, physical and social needs. Newton is also very active with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other charities each season, using his fame for the greater good of the community.

“I think it’s extremely important to give back to the community, or even just give back to people. As my father once said, ‘You can be on top of the world one day, and the next day, the world can be on top of you.’” – Cam Newton
