Think you’re ready for football season? Run through this quick checklist and make sure your Hudl account is ready, too.
Update your roster & schedule
Get your coach and athlete rosters up to date. Remove or disable anyone who is no longer with the team.
Note: Deleting an athlete will remove all trace of that individual, including highlights. If you want to allow access to those highlights, but limit them from seeing the team’s library, choose Disable instead.
Entering your entire schedule before the first game will help make organization and uploading much easier.
Check your browser settings
Install our recommended browser. If you’re on a PC, Google Chrome is the best option. For a Mac, go with Safari.
If you already have those browsers installed, it’s important to clear your cache and reset browser settings so everything is ready to go for your next season.
Then watch film on Hudl.com. If you see any playback issues, let us know.
Check storage and clean up video
Check your available storage hours. If you’re running out of room, download old playlists and save them to a hard drive. That way, you’ll have plenty of space on Hudl for this season’s practice and scout film.
If you plan on using multiple angles of film, now is a great time to check out the online video editor.
Install Hudl Mercury
Hudl Mercury is the best tool to upload your film to Hudl.com.
Download the Hudl app
The Hudl app is your best bet for filming drills and reviewing playbook installs on the practice field. It’s also a great way to track stats live with our Tag a Game feature. If you haven’t checked it out yet, give Tag a Game a try and let us know if you have any questions.
