PGC Fast Break: Communication Offense

This workout is all about developing players who know what they’re supposed to do, and understand how to do it right every time.

Legendary basketball coach John Wooden said, If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” That dedication and attention to detail helped Coach Wooden win 10 NCAA championships – and it’s the basis for our latest drill from PGC Basketball.

This workout is all about developing players who know what they’re supposed to do, and understand how to do it right every time. By operating at 60% speed, athletes are encouraged to make deliberate decisions and execute to the best of their ability.

Communication Offense

Whether you run this drill in sets or a motion offense, there are two things to focus on with every rep:

  • Proper technique
  • Clear communication

Remember: It’s not about doing it fast; it’s about doing it well. The right attention to detail will boost players’ fundamentals, as well as their ability to communicate on the court.
