Video Introduction
The purpose of this tutorial is to demonstrate how to add, edit, and remove video overlay information to clips in Hudl.
In Hudl, you can use a video overlay to personalize your video. Your overlay will appear in the top right corner of your video when it is playing. Overlays are a great way to pull together specific information you want to see while watching the video.
Overlay information is drawn from the information entered by you into the data columns, so any information you wish to display in an overlay must be in the breakdown data columns.
Adding/Editing Overlay Information
- Move your mouse over the top right-hand corner of the video player. Click on the blue Edit this Overlay button that appears.
- Your currently displayed data columns will be in a list. You can delete any of these by clicking the minus sign next to the data name. You can add different data in by clicking the Add Another… drop down box and selecting another column.
- Click the Done Editing button when you are finished.
The video overlay will now be updated on all the clips. Overlays are unique to user accounts, so coaches are able to display whichever overlays they would like to see without affecting anyone else’s account.
