Common answers to questions you might have before you get going with Hudl.

Tutorials

With what sports does Hudl work?

Hudl is designed to work with any sport and includes all of the essentials to enable any team to capture, analyze, and share video. It also has a full suite of custom tools for football, basketball, and volleyball.

In the future, we’ll be adding more custom tools for other sports.

Can I import my video and data from my current editing system?

In most cases Hudl can import projects from your current editing system meaning you can use the power of Hudl with all of your old video and data . You can import video and data from DSV, APEX, Game Plan/Coach Comm, Webb Electronics, and LRS.

If you use a system other than those listed, contact us and we’ll help you figure out a solution.

Will Hudl work on a Mac?

Hudl.com works great on Intel-based Macs.

Mac users can’t use the Xbox 360™ remote or create voice recordings at this time.

What hardware do I need in Hudl?

Hudl has been designed to work on both PC and Mac computers. The Hudl Video Editor is designed to work in Windows, therefore, you will need at least one Windows computer to capture video and get it into Hudl.com.

On PCs, you do not need any special hardware to run Hudl but we recommend a computer with at least a 1 GHz processor and at least 2GB RAM, but this is not required.

For Macs, you will need to have an Intel-based processor to use Silverlight, the underlying technology used in Hudl.

For more information about the minimum system requirements necessary for Silverlight, see the Silverlight system requirements page.

How do I know my video is safe in Hudl?

Hudl uses the latest security techniques to share the video throughout our networks, so you can be assured that your video is safe in Hudl. You control access for your team. Each player and coach has their own unique username and login.

If a player or coach leaves the team, their account can be disabled immediately.
