Telestrate your video
Sure, telestration isn’t new, but in Hudl it isn’t some clunky add-on—it’s a key way to highlight important points in the video to your players and coaches. Use it as a coaching tool and be amazed how quick and easy it is to teach your athletes at a whole new level.
At any point in a video, just drag your mouse over the screen to draw. No saving. No screen captures. Just results.
When you share your video playlists with others, telestrations and other notes you’ve made will be included. And when someone watches your clip, the video will automatically pause and display your note.
Text and voice notes, too
Drop a text note anywhere on the video to detail the scenario for your players and coaches. If there’s a lot to explain, just press “Record” and speak into your microphone.
Hudl will play the voice note when your athlete arrives at that point in the video.
Did your athlete execute perfectly or totally whiff? It’s easy to explain—notes live right on top of the video (the smoking gun). In one seamless experience, they see the action, hear your tip, and the concept sticks.
Just watch your language, OK?
Create a teaching tape in seconds
As a coach, you always want your players to improve their game. Hudl gives you the ability to create virtual coaching sessions—or “walkthroughs”.
When you make a walkthrough, Hudl records all of your actions on a video clip: every note, pause, rewind, and slow-mo is recorded along with your voice. You can break down the key clips from the night’s game with a couple of these walkthroughs and share them immediately with your players.
Your walkthrough takes over when they begin watching. With your exact words and actions, you’ll show them what’s up. It’s a great way to help an individual with their corrections or scrutinize a particularly skilled opponent. On top of teaching the concept, you’re teaching your athletes how to watch video.
Overlay key information on video
When you analyze video, showing a few pieces of information alongside can help reinforce teaching points. Hudl lets you customize which data to show to other players and coaches.
Just move your mouse over the area to more clearly see the data or change the fields around.
