Game breakdown made easy
Hudl gives you two ways to breakdown your games. The first, we call “quick breakdown” because it puts the most common pieces of information at your fingertips so you can tag a clip as fast as possible (i.e. at game speed, while things are actually happening). It’s perfect for live capture situations.
The second is a traditional “grid breakdown” that works like Excel, only smarter. In either mode, Hudl will try and auto complete as many fields as possible because it understands what sport you’re playing. Just ran for 3 yards on 1st and 10? The next clip is auto-tagged 2nd and 7. Your outside hitter just attack the ball for a point? Hudl gives her the kill, the setter the assist, and updates your score.
Specific terminology for your sport
Whether your team golfs, swims, pitches, or passes, Hudl has the most commonly used pieces of information ready for your sport.
You can also add customized columns if you want to break down the game in greater detail.
Once you’ve tagged any video clip with data, you can run filters to find what you need or generate reports to find tendencies.
Online or offline, breakdown anywhere
A great benefit of having your data online (secure, as always) is that you can edit it from any computer. Better yet, multiple coaches can edit it at the same time! Are you the one up until 3:00am getting data entered for tomorrow’s film study?
Why not share the load with other coaches? Just decide what pieces of information each coach will be responsible for and get cracking. You can even edit the same clip at the same time—Hudl handles all the saving and updating automatically.
On those occasions when you’re without internet access, you can still use our video editor to enter data offline. When you get an internet connection, just publish your changes!
