Our Favorite iPad Apps

As you probably saw, we released the Hudl iPad app last week. With all the great feedback we’ve gotten, we decided to give some feedback of our own. We polled the office to see what apps Hudl team members are using on a daily basis. Take a look and let us know what you can add to the list:
1. Flip Board – FREE
Flipboard is a fast way to flip through the news, photos, and updates from Facebook, Twitter, Google Reader, and Flickr. Flipboard was named Apple’s iPad App of the year and one of TIME’s top 50 innovations of 2010.
2. Netflix – FREE (you’ll need a Netflix account)
Instantly watch TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix.
3. Pandora - FREE
All the beauty of Pandora Radio on your computer, now on your iPad.
4. ScoreCenterXL - FREE
ScoreCenter XL offers all the functionality of ESPN’s ScoreCenter iPhone app, made specially for iPad.
5. Words with Friends - FREE, or upgrade to ad-free play for $0.99
We love this app so much, we had an office-wide tournament that lasted for two months. Words With Friends is compatible on iPod touch and just came out with an Android app as well, so all your friends can get involved!
*Note: for a fun challenge, start a match with “jsprauner.”

Kindle – FREE
More than 810,000 books available from the Kindle store on your iPad.
7. Twitter - FREE
The same benefits of Twitter on your computer, but with an interface specially designed for iPad.
8. TacticsBoard - $4.99
TacticsBoard is a whiteboard with TV output where coaches, trainers, or fans of 17 sports can game plan. We thought this would be a great one for all of our coaches.
9. Facepad– FREE
Facepad is a fantastic way to browse Facebook on your iPad.
10. Penultimate - $2.99
Penultimate is a handwriting app for iPad that is as smooth as writing on paper. It’s a great way to jot down ideas or take notes in a meeting.
