In honor of yesterday’s Mobile Highlights announcement, we took the time to get to know the brains of the operation, Luke Stevens.
Luke joined Hudl as a software engineer in October of this year and has already made a big impact on our mobile team. When he’s not busy at the office, he likes hanging out with his dog, Riley.
We’re not sure if Riley knows everything we’re about to learn, but we’ll start with the basics, courtesy of Luke himself.
“After being forged in the fires of Garland, Nebraska, I set out on an exciting, eye-opening journey to find the true meaning of life. Actually, I just went to high school.
Upon graduating, I went to Southeast Community College. Ever seen “Community”? It was kind of like that. Once I had gathered up my skills and diploma, I jumped into the world of development. First I wrote banking apps, then websites, then I ran across a gem called Hudl.
When I’m not writing iPhone apps for this badass company, I enjoy dabbling in photography, music, and writing. And yes, I’m from Nebraska and I like country music.”
What do you want for Christmas this year?
A year’s supply of McDonald’s breakfast wouldn’t be a bad start. A burrito a day keeps the doctor away? I think that’s a thing.
If you could choose one person to be stranded on a deserted island with, who would it be?
Nikola Tesla. The guy did all kinds of cool stuff, and I think I would find the information he shared to be positively shocking.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can sing opera. Don’t tell.
Would you be friends with yourself?
Of course! We’d meet for checkers every other Tuesday. I think we’d have a lot in common.
Favorite superhero and why?
Green Lantern. The guy can make anything he wants with his ring. I’d make a McDonald’s breakfast burrito.
Is the world really going to end next Friday? #Mayans
Certainly hope not; just got a new Chia Pet. It’d be a shame to see it go.
