It has been more than a year since initiating Hudl Helps, where each employee can donate $250 to a charity that is important to them.
This year Ian decided he wanted to give his donation to a foundation that is extremely important to one of his fellow Hudl employees, Haylie. He donated to CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, a non-profit foundation that funds and supports research for children’s cancer.
Although Ian has not been impacted directly by a family member fighting cancer, he has been inspired by a little boy’s positive attitude. Haylie’s little cousin, Jack, was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of 2011 when he was just 5 years old. Throughout his entire ordeal, he has been an inspiration to his family and people around him as he kept a positive attitude while fighting this disease.
After telling some members of the Hudl team about Jack’s fight against cancer, Ian decided to donate to CureSearch. “His positivity is very inspiring and makes you look at your own life, and approach things very differently.” Said Ian.
CureSearch for Children’s Cancer raises funds through various avenues including individual donations, special events, and corporate sponsorships.
