Give Us All of Your Hudl Feature Requests

By now most of you have seen some of the new features we rolled out in the new released yesterday (if you haven’t check out Jon’s post about it: Team Highlights & Pages, Easy Basketball Breakdown). Over the next few days, we’ll pass along more tips about how you can best use these new features, but I wanted to take a chance to explain that shiny new Feedback button on the right-side of your Hudl menu and how you can use it to make Hudl better for you.

We spend a lot of time around here trying to make Hudl more powerful and at the same time make coaches’ lives easier, but sometimes what we think we need to add to Hudl isn’t what you actually need. With that in mind, we work really hard to get an open dialog between us here at Hudl and our coaches. We want to get a good idea of what you want, what would make you happier, and what would make you more efficient. One of the ways we accomplished this was through our satisfaction survey (which you can still take if you haven’t had a chance yet). The survey was a great way for us to gauge happiness with Hudl, but we wanted to open up our communication even further, giving coaches a direct line to the guys making the magic happen - our developers.

After a few months of tinkering, we found something we liked and have made it available to you. In the new Hudl release, you’ll notice the large Feedback button on the right-side of your Hudl menu once you’ve logged in. This button will take you to Hudl’s new User Feedback site where you can give us feedback as to what features you would like to see added in Hudl. Even more, you can see what other ideas have been requested, add your comments, and vote on the ones you like best. Further, you’ll be able to see when we start development on some of requests and when they have been completed.

If you go to http://feedback.hudl.com you can check it out right now. We’ll obviously monitor the site and make comments on the features ourselves so you can see what we are thinking. Right now, your Hudl account isn’t linked, but if you login to our feedback site, we’ll be able to respond directly to you and let you know what we think. Each feature request has its own page (just click on the feature request title to see it), so you will be able to track your requests and see what other people (including our developers) think. This will give you a great way to request features as we prepare to create things for the football off-season, other sports, and next year.
