Better Widescreen Video, Invoices, and Consistent DVD Pricing

Last week we released an update to Hudl that included several minor (but still important) changes:

• We added better support for widescreen video.
• Coaches can now view and print their teams’ invoices from within Hudl.
• We lowered the price of premium highlight DVDs to $25. All DVDs are the same price.
• We tweaked and improved the presentation tool. We’re almost ready to take the “beta” sticker off…

Better Support for Widescreen Video

We’ve always supported it, but widescreen video used to get “squished” down to fit our 4:3 format online.

It was annoying, so Bryce fixed it.

Online Invoices

This should save everyone’s time—yours and ours. You can print and view your invoices from Hudl.com instead of waiting for the mail. Because it’s online, we can apply discounts and make changes to your bill much more easily. Boring, yes. But still important.

We’re working on posting existing schools’ invoices to this new system. It may be a few weeks before we get them all done. In the meantime if you need a copy of your invoice just call us at (402) 817-0060.

Presentations Bug Fixes

Our presentation tool is still a “beta.” There are a few rough spots left to be ironed out. We fixed a number of issues that were causing problems for coaches.

Consistent DVD Pricing

We lowered the price of premium highlight DVDs to $25. The old price was $45 but because it was different from the “normal” DVD prices, we confused a lot of coaches, athletes, and their parents.
