iPad + Hudl App = Awesome

Screenshot of Hudl iPad App

It’s official. Your Hudl video library is now available on iPad. Click here to download it from the App Store. It’s free.

We can’t fathom a better device for comfortably and naturally watching your team’s video than iPad. The playback is incredibly smooth. We even have a demo account for non-Hudl users to give it a spin.

If you don’t have an iPad yet, be warned: the demo video below may convince you to buy one—credit card payments be damned.

Does Your Computer Make the Cut?

We all know that computers, like most things in life, don’t last forever. We have seen some great looking computers, but we’ve also seen some that could use a few updates! Keep in mind not all computers are created equal, and you should make sure your computer can run Hudl the way it is meant to be run!

Coaches ask us all the time for computer recommendations. We realize that not everyone is in the market for a new computer or a top-of-the-line computer, so we’ve included a few recommendations to ensure you have a great Hudl experience, based on your current computer needs.

Learn Hudl Faster and Stay Up-to-Date Using Hudl’s New Support Tools

Here at Agile Sports, we spend a lot of time ensuring that our Hudl partners’ user experience is better than any other video editing system. Whether it is making sure the Video Editor walks you through the publishing process or that it is easy to create custom reports, every facet of Hudl goes through a design pass with our in-house design expert, Kyle Murphy.

As the client support manager, one of the areas that really hit home with me was our support and training tools. Our old tutorials page gave you an easy way to see our tutorials but didn’t really let you know what was fully available. So, with that in mind, our support department spent time with Kyle evaluating our tutorials and support tools to find ways to make them better than ever. The result was two new support pages: Hudl Tutorials and Hudl Support and some new tools to get you access to Hudl.

Give Us All of Your Hudl Feature Requests

By now most of you have seen some of the new features we rolled out in the new released yesterday (if you haven’t check out Jon’s post about it: Team Highlights & Pages, Easy Basketball Breakdown). Over the next few days, we’ll pass along more tips about how you can best use these new features, but I wanted to take a chance to explain that shiny new Feedback button on the right-side of your Hudl menu and how you can use it to make Hudl better for you.

Netflix’s Solid End-to-End Experience

Netflix Email to Kyle

Working as a user experience (UX) designer has forced me to notice the little details that make a big difference in how people perceive a product or service.

Netflix is one company that nails those details. We’re eager to do the same with Hudl.

You Deleted My What?

Google Checkout Copy Fail

So, I’m messing around with my personal settings for Google Checkout and I noticed this little copywriting gem.

The keyword is “instrument” and given the context, it’s not all that confusing. But, if you take a step back and just read that sentence to yourself, it sounds really weird.
