If you have a Hudl account, there’s a very good chance you have a highlight reel. If you don’t, just know that it’s never been easier to tag your best plays and create a Premium Highlight perfect for sharing.

Come on, you’re pretty awesome. Why not showcase those skills and spread the love all over social media? While you’re at it, you should order hard copies, too.

The Internet might not be around forever (that’s a giant ‘might’, I know) and it never hurts to have a backup of your greatness. Especially when your kids and grandkids will want nothing more than to join you in reliving the glory days.

The Hudl App for Windows 8

Windows 8 joins the ranks of iOS and Android in the “devices with a Hudl app” club. We’re excited to announce that after countless hours of hard work by seven University of Nebraska students, the Windows 8 app is officially available for download.

Install the free Hudl app on your Windows 8 tablet or computer and you can watch your Hudl video anytime, anywhere.

Looking up prospects on the go just got a lot easier. With Mobile Recruit, your favorite Hudl Recruit features are now available on the iPad.

You can comb through all 500,000 Hudl athletes, view highlights, and update your staff’s boards anytime, anywhere.

Did we mention coach and parent contact information? What about athletic stats and academic scores? Yeah, it’s all right there, in the app.

All About Practice Scripts

With our Practice Scripts officially out of beta, we want to fill everyone in on what the feature has to offer so you can make an educated decision on whether or not it’s right for your team.

Whether you were a beta tester or not, the Practice Scripts feature can now be accessed right from your Manage Tab. Beta testers will see all of their old work, while non-beta users will see a video and the option to get started.

Practice Scripts is an a la carte feature. Signing up adds $95 to your next invoice. If you were a beta tester, the $95 has already been added, but you can choose to turn it off at any time.

Hop On the Practice Scripts Bandwagon

Our Practice Scripts feature was welcomed with open arms in the fall. Next month, we’re turning it into an a la carte feature. When your next bill is due, you can pay $95 to keep the feature, or opt out and we’ll turn it off. Don’t worry, turning it off doesn’t delete anything. All of your old cards will be there if you change your mind.

If you haven’t played with Practice Scripts yet, fill out this form and we’ll turn them on. Take them for a test drive to find out what they can do for your team and make an educated decision when your next payment date comes around.

Mobile Pages Got a Makeover

If you have a minute, grab your iPhone or Android phone and check out Hudl’s new athlete and team pages.

Not only do they look awesome, but sharing and viewing highlights on the go just got a lot easier. With the updated mobile pages:

• Watching game highlights, Premium Highlights, and Top Plays doesn’t require Silverlight.
• Sharing a highlight to Twitter or Facebook can be done right from the highlight page.
• Highlights automatically fill the screen - no need to pinch for zooming in and out.
• Music will play and spot shadows will appear, just like before.

Update your iPhone app to access Mobile Highlights. You can mark any game footage as a highlight right from your phone.

As your video plays, just double tap the screen to mark a highlight. A star will appear on your screen and in the online library, and the clip will go straight to your highlight page.
